Cand cele 2 conexiuni ale senzorului intra in contact cu apa, este pornit un releu. Astfel, sirenele sau pompele etc. pot fi comutate. Caracteristica: Senzorii de apa sunt incarcati cu o tensiune extrem de scazuta pentru a preveni oxidarea altfel obisnuita prin curenti galvanice.
